been differing points of view between eyewitness observers from the USS
Vestal to Navy documentation as to whether or not a torpedo hit the
Arizona, relevent letters and documents are presented here simply to
provide additional information.
Because there has been no factual documentation fully supporting
either of the two main theories (was/was not a torpedo), the letters are
simply presented to show that there have been differing opinions on the
subject.
